Alternatives To Interlibrary Loan

Numerous journals are now available online. The library
web catalog offers the opportunity to link to many of them.
Articles may be printed at 10 cents/sheet.
OhioLINK and Affiliated Library Borrowing
When the book you need is checked out, in repair, or otherwise
unavailable for borrowing, you can request another available
copy from an OhioLINK or Affiliated Library. To expand your
search to include other OhioLINK Libraries, click on "OhioLINK
Central" in the WSU web catalog." To place a request, Click
on "Request this Item" in the web catalog, and enter your
name and ID number.
If the item you requested is immediately available from
the first institution to receive the request, your shipment
should arrive in 3 or less working days. Call the Circulation
Desk at 775-2525 (Dunbar) or 775-2003 (Fordham) to check on
the status of your request.
OhioLINK Borrowing is a free service available to all
Wright State University faculty, staff, and students, Alumni,
Friends of the Libraries, and Community Borrowers.
Problems placing your request? If you do not know
your ID number, or your request is rejected by the computer,
consult staff at the Circulation Desk for assistance.
Southwest Depository Request
Older materials are sometimes stored off-campus. If you have
a WSU Library card, you can use the request function in the
library catalog ("request this item") to order books or journal
volumes to be delivered to campus from the depository. Expect
delivery in about 2 working days.
You can also use an
online request form or paper request form to order copies
of journal articles or pages from books be delivered to campus
from the depository. Most articles can be electronically delivered
and are often available the same day. Call Dunbar Interlibrary
Loan at 775-2289 or Fordham Interlibrary Loan at 775-4110
to check on the status of your request.
Depository retrieval is a free service available to all.
Delivery Notification Notification is by email whenever
possible. Check your University email account for up-to-date
notification of when your material has arrived, or call 775-2525
(Dunbar) or 775-2003 (Fordham) to check on the status of your
request. Materials are held for pickup for 9 days from the
day notification is sent.
