RefWorks Improves Convenience with 14-Day Log-In

December 19, 2012

RefWorks’ streamlining its log-in process has greatly increased convenience to its users.  A new functionality was launched in December to provide users with the option to stay logged into the service as long as they have accessed their account within the past 14 days.

When a user opts to remain logged in, RefWorks now sets a browser cookie that will last for two weeks.  This improvement makes it easier for users to access RefWorks without constantly supplying log-in credentials.  Should a user not access their account within the 14-day window, they will be prompted to enter their password information in order to gain access to their account.  Please note that when a user is presented with this new option, they will be warned not to select it if they are on a public computer.

RefWorks is a web-based citation management service that makes it easy to generate bibliographies or footnotes for your papers. As a free service to all WSU students, faculty, and staff, RefWorks allows users to create a personal database of resources and keep resources organized. The Libraries offer free RefWorks workshops every semester. Sign up for one today for easier citation work tomorrow! http://www.libraries.wright.edu/calendar/workshops.php
