Help select the 2014-2015 Common Text

Help the Wright State University Common Text Committee select the 2014-2015 common text!

Remember library summer reading programs? Here is your chance to bring back the fun, help the common text committee select the 2014-15 book, and be entered in a drawing to win great prizes, including a $25 Barnes & Noble Bookstore gift card!

The common text committee read more than twenty selections recommended by members of the University community, and decided upon four finalists.

They are:

One Amazing Thing by Chitra Divakaruni,

The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway,

Good Kings, Bad Kings by Susan Nussbaum

and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

You have between now and Sunday, August 25, 2012 to read the books and complete a brief survey.  We will send reminders throughout the summer.  Please wait until you have completed as much reading as you are able to do and then fill out the survey at  https://wright.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5AtZVSUARQPvFPv

These books are (or will be very soon!) widely available at the WSU bookstore (20% off with your faculty/staff ID), local book stores, and your public library.  Using your WSU account, you can also request them to be sent here through OhioLink and Search Ohio. All four titles are on 7-day reserve (filed under “Common Text”) at the Dunbar Library circulation desk, as well.

Thank you for being part of the common text selection process.

Happy Reading-

Maureen Barry, Catherine Queener, and Vaughn Shannon

Common Text Committee Co-Chairs
