Lilly Writes Aunt Julia

On July 20, 1862, a niece of Julia Patterson, Lilly, wrote from Paducah, Kentucky.  The letter is a “newsy” one describing the weather, her visit to Cincinnati and Louisville, and rumors of Confederate cavalry attacking Paducah.  (Transcript of Lilly letter, July 20, 1862)
