Please join us this coming Monday, December 3, 2012, for the next meeting of the Huffman Prairie Aviation Historical Society, when Ken Keisel will present “The Dayton-Wright OW-1 Aerial Coupe” (view announcement flyer PDF).
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center at 2380 Memorial Road (intersection of State Route 444 and Kauffman Road), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
A book signing for Ken’s Arcadia book Dayton Aviation: The Wright Brothers to McCook Field will follow the presentation.
The press release for Keisel’s Dayton Aviation describes it in this way:
Dayton Aviation: The Wright Brothers to McCook Field examines Dayton’s civil and military aviation history from its start with the Wright Brothers to the founding of Wright and Patterson Fields in the 1930s, a period that saw the construction of the world’s first airport, the Huffman Flying Prairie.
The book is on sale now from Arcadia Publishing, as well as bookstores and online retailers.
