The Time Cellar by Marc Emory (Book Club)
Winans, 3510 Pentagon Blvd, Beavercreek; 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

The Friends of the Wright State University Libraries are pleased to announce selections for the 2015-16 Unwin(e)d Book Club. Join us at 5:30 p.m. at Winans in Beavercreek on Pentagon Blvd, September 10th, to discuss The Time Cellar by Marc Emory. Snacks will be provided and treat yourself to wine, coffee or chocolate as we discuss debut novels by lesser-known authors. No subject is off the table. This is not your mother's book club.

A frustrated oenophile and wannabe time-traveler, Robert Packard is an underemployed everyman whose life isn't quite what he hoped it would. His life is changed by a dark and stormy night when he inadvertently creates two time portals in his basement: one to Chateau Lafite in 1860 and one to Monticello in 1818. Within no time at all, his life has irrevocably changed. Join us to discuss this book that has made Stan Lee comment, "Now I can't even look at a glass of wine without thinking of your furshlugginer story!!!"

Look out for future discussions of The Clasp by Sloane Crosley, The Word Exchange by Alena Graedon, and finally, Our Town by Kevin McEnroe.

Book club is free and open to the public. A limited number of print and ebook copies are available on reserve at Dunbar Library or for purchase at the Barnes and Noble University bookstore on our main campus (20% discount with your Wright1 or Friends of the Libraries card!).
