Integrating Your Sources (Research Toolkit Series)

You've searched for articles and books and you have a list of sources that are on your topic. Now how are you supposed to use them in your paper? In this workshop, staff from the Writing Center and a librarian will take you through the process of integrating those sources in your paper. Learn how to quote and paraphrase while avoiding plagiarism and keeping your voice the focus of your paper. Registration is required.

CELIA Night at the Movies Featuring Gallipoli (1981)

Join CELIA (Collaborative Education, Leadership and Innovation in the Arts) and the University Libraries as we present: CELIA Night at the Movies! Experience Peter Weir's 1981 film Gallipoli, the story of two Australian sprinters who face the brutal realities of war when they are sent to fight in the Gallipoli campaign in Turkey during World War I.

Dr. Christopher R. Oldstone-Moore, PhD, of the Wright State University Department of History will present a pre-show commentary on the film and its place in WWI history.

Enjoy complimentary soda and popcorn! This event is free and open to the public, a part of CELIA’s The Long, Long Way: Echos of the Great War program. For more information please see upcoming CELIA Events.

Citing in Style: Why and how to cite using APA and MLA styles (Research Toolkit Series)

You know that you have to cite your sources for your research papers, but why? Who cares if the comma is in the right place or the parentheses are missing? At this workshop, we'll go over the reasons for citing using the proper formatting styles, the basic rules for APA and MLA citation styles, and where to find the information on the proper format. And, if you think that citing could never be interesting, we'll finish with a competitive relay challenge that makes citing in style fun. Registration is required.
