As the silos crumble…

OCLC has added 18 EBSCO databases to the WorldCat Local metasearch central index, which allows quick, easy access to the content. Libraries that subscribe to both WorldCat Local and EBSCOhost services can now offer easy online access to a wide range of authoritative electronic content for their users. EBSCO’s content, which includes some of the most popular databases in libraries, will be more visible to authenticated library patrons through WorldCat Local, the OCLC service that provides single-search access to libraries’ print, electronic and digital resources.

Of the 18 EBSCO databases added to the central index, nine are new additions to the content formerly available through WorldCat Local and nine are moving from access through remote indexing to access through the central index. In addition, the EBSCO Academic Search Complete database will become available through WorldCat Local via remote access.

EBSCO databases added to the WorldCat Local central index include:

* Academic Search Premier*
* Alt Health Watch*
* Bibliography of Native North Americans
* Biomedical Reference Collection: Expanded
* Business Source Complete*

* History Reference Center
* Information Science & Technology Abstracts
