SwetsWise eBook Catalog to include Credo Reference

Good news for SwetsWise users interested in purchasing Credo Reference titles.  More from the press release:

Credo Reference adds Marshall Cavendish Collection

Credo Reference has a number of publisher collections which feature the titles from an individual publisher.  They are available for purchase or subscription in Credo, but are generally not part of the Credo General Reference collection.  Credo just announced a new collection from Marshall Cavendish – 9 titles/70 volumes.  Here is more from the press release:

Credo Reference introduces literati

I’m sorry I missed posting this press release from Credo.  They are launching a new product – literati.  It’s in beta now with January 2012 set for a live launch.  The design and purpose of the product sounds very intriguing (multi channel design, increase dialog b/t librarians and students, information at the point of need, etc.) and I can’t wait to see it in action.  Here’s more from the press release:

45 Elsevier health science titles to be available in Credo Reference Subject Collections

Credo continues to expand it’s subject collections with the new addition of Elsevier titles.  There was no indication in the press release of the date these titles will be available.

EBSCO Discovery Service indexing ARTstor

ARTstor images (over one million) will now be searchable in the EDS.  Great news for the discovery of multiple information formats in one location.

More from the press release:  The ARTstor Digital Library will be searchable via EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) from EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) allowing mutual customers to use EDS to explore even more of a library’s collection. The agreement between ARTstor and EBSCO increases the value to ARTstor subscribers using EDS since end users will be able to search ARTstor Digital Library collections—over one million images—alongside their library’s entire print and electronic collection.

Credo Reference and Topic Pages now accessible through the Ex Libris Primo Central Index

More discovery news, Credo Reference is now accessible through Ex Libris.  From the press release:  Credo Reference (credoreference.com), the award-winning online reference service, and Ex Libris Group®, a leading provider of library automation solutions, announced today that content from Credo’s General Reference, Publisher and Subject Collections will now be accessible through the Ex Libris Primo Central Index of scholarly content.

With this new agreement, Primo search results will include both Credo Reference content and Credo Topic Pages. Credo Topic Pages combine high-quality research, images and library resources to provide an engaging, all-in-one starting point for users entering the research experience. World Book content searchable on EBSCO Discovery Service

From an EBSCO press release:  A recent agreement between EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) and World Book, Inc. (World Book) will bring twelve popular reference tools into EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). Metadata, including full-text searching, for World Book resources will be added to the EDS Base Index allowing the World Book content to better impact searching through the EDS single search interface. The twelve World Book resources that will be searchable in EDS include popular English language titles as well as French and Spanish language reference tools.

Credo Launches Eight New Subject Collections
