ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 30, 2015 — ProQuest has signed an agreement to acquire Coutts Information Services from Ingram Content Group, adding Coutts’ renowned expertise in collection development, broad catalog of print and digital titles, and platforms MyiLibrary and OASIS to ProQuest’s vast selection of ebooks and innovative technology framework. The move paves the way to combine Coutts’ acquisitions strengths with ProQuest’s inventive digital tools to deliver a superior end-to-end workflow across print and electronic. Ingram will play a continuing role in print fulfillment in North America, supporting ProQuest with its extensive print inventory, fast on-demand print capabilities and delivery network. ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 24, 2015 – ProQuest will enable the full text of its scholarly journal content to be indexed in Google Scholar, improving research outcomes. Work is underway and the company anticipates that by the third-quarter of 2015, users starting their research in Google Scholar will be able to access scholarly content via ProQuest.

ANN ARBOR, Mich., February 12, 2015 – Researchers can now explore early European history and culture as it happened with ProQuest’s release of the first 2 million pages in its massive digitization project with Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) in Paris. When complete, the project will give researchers cover to cover access to more than 28,000 rare European books printed from 1400 to 1700 – 10 million pages – in crisp, fully searchable images. Approximately 5,800 titles are now available in Collections 4 and 6 of ProQuest’s Early European Books, enabling researchers around the world to benefit from the Library’s centuries of acquisition, curation and preservation.

These are works from the seminal ProQuest database Early English Books Online and transcriptions are care of the Text Creation Partnership (TCP).
