Database Description

The Clinical Pharmacology database contains clinically relevant information for all U.S. prescription drugs, herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products, and new and investigational drugs. It can be searched by generic or brand name. The database is made up of Drug Monograph and Patient Education Records. Drug Monographs include description, mechanism of action, and pharmacokinetics. Patient Education Records include information on what the medication is used for, how it should be taken, what other medications can interact, side effects, and how the medication should be stored. Patient Education Records are available in English or Spanish.
