Digital Millennium Copyright Act:
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act was passed in 1998 to address questions about copyright protection for digital works. The parts of the Act of most interest to educators and librarians are Section1201 and Section 1202 which deal with anticircumvention measures and copyright management information:

The Technology, Education and Copyright Harmonization Act
This act, commonly referred to as the TEACH Act, is a revision of Section 110(2) of the Copyright Act that addresses the use of copyrighted materials in distance learning. The TEACH Act was introduced as Senate Bill 487:
