Exception for Public Displays
The exception for public displays is found in Section 109(C) of the Copyright Act. It is an exception to the copyright owner’s right of public display that allows the owner of a lawfully made copy of a work to display it publicly at the place where it is located. It is this provision, for example, that allows a museum to display its art work
