How do I read Library of Congress call numbers?
How do I know where to start looking?
Call numbers are preceded by location codes. Location codes tell which library building and
collection has the material you need. The location Dunbar 3rd Floor, for example,
refers to the shelving on the third floor of the Dunbar Library. (map)
The WSU and Affiliates Library Catalog refers to many different collections within
the Dunbar Library and to other collections at Wright State. It also includes books owned by
local hospital libraries. Each collection has its own code. Read Where
