Special Collections and Archives is dedicated to serving faculty and students of Wright State University and the wider community by preserving and providing access to a rich collection of primary sources for teaching, learning, and research.

Services:

  • Class Tour and Orientation – Bring your class to the archives for a first hand look at documents, photos, films and memorabilia specifically tailored to the class you are teaching. Your students will read, touch and experience history from those who created it.

  • Classroom Visit – Can’t come to the archives? We’ll bring primary sources to your classroom and provide an orientation on how students can conduct research in the archives and use primary sources in their papers and projects.

  • Subject Guides – We’ll create specialized subject guides for you on manuscript collections that will help support research in a particular class, subject, or topic.

  • Individual Consultation – Meet with an archivist one on one to learn how to use primary sources and research a topic in Special Collections and Archives.

  • Lesson Plans and Assignments – Learn how to use and gain access to primary sources for lesson plans and assignments.
