Aviation History

The focus on early aviation history stems naturally from the university being a living memorial to Orville and Wilbur Wright, the two Dayton brothers who invented powered flight at the turn of the century. Special Collections and Archives houses one of the most complete collections of Wright Brothers material in the world. The archives holds over seventy additional collections documenting the history of aviation.
