Original caption from 1963: “These nearly arranged signs greet visitors and motorists entering New Carlisle on State Routes 69 and 571. Constructed through co-operation of the New Carlisle Association of Churches and with the help of donations from local businesses, the combined display replaces individual signs which several churches had posted in separate places.”
