MS 109 Clayton J. Brukner CollectionINTRODUCTIONThe Clayton J. Brukner Collection was accessioned by Wright State University in April 1980. The Collection consists of business records of the Waco Aircraft Company which was owned by Brukner, and various printed materials relating to aviation, books, journals, yearbooks, etc. Although the material in the collection covers the dates 1929 to 1972, the bulk of the material relates to the years 1930-1945. From the business records, the extent of Waco's involvement in World War II may be examined. The material relating to the Manufacturers Aircraft Association would be particularly interesting to students of aviation history. Researchers interested in particular Waco aircraft should be aware that the amount of technical information regarding Waco aircraft in this collection is very small. Basically, the strengths of this collection lie in the Manufacturers Aircraft Association section previously mentioned and in the material concerning the aircraft industry's involvement in World War II. Of course, the business records would be valuable to someone researching the management history of the Waco Aircraft Company. Linear feet of shelf space occupied - 19 (39 Hollinger boxes). There are no restrictions on the use of this collection.
