Circulation Overview

The University Libraries establish circulation policies to ensure the availability of research materials for Wright State University faculty, staff and students. These policies apply to all materials owned by Wright State University or borrowed by Wright State University through Interlibrary Loan.

The Libraries offer free and unrestricted public access to the materials maintained by Wright State University as a depository for government publications.

Borrowing Privileges and Restrictions

Borrowing privileges are granted to patrons by type of affiliation. A patron with more than one type of affiliation is granted the broadest privileges applicable. Each borrower is responsible for all library materials borrowed, and for any charges incurred by the use of the library card.

Items requested in the catalog for pickup at remote sites (Ellis Office, Research Park Office, St. Elizabeth Dermatology, St. Elizabeth Psychiatry, St. Elizabeth Geriatrics) are checked out to the requestor and sent via courier to the faculty or staff office address listed in the campus phone directory.   The requestor assumes responsibility for items lost in transit.

Fines Appeal

Appeals to overturn fines or to establish a payment plan are to be made to the Head of Resource Delivery Services; in the absence of the department head, or if resolution is not satisfactory, appeals may be made to the University Librarian.
