Have a Friend. Be a Friend.

Have you considered joining the Friends of the Wright State University Libraries?

13309 Michelle Brasseur, Friends of the Libraries Annual Luncheon 4-30-14The Friends of the Libraries is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the mission of the University Libraries, providing scholarships to our student assistants and hosting programming for the Wright State campus and surrounding community. In many ways, the Friends help support and showcase what the libraries have to offer.

For as little as $25 a year you can be a part of a diverse community of Wright State faculty, staff, retirees and supportive community members who make up the Friends of the Libraries. We care deeply about the education of Wright State’s students, faculty and staff and their ability to access information, which supports the mission of the University to create life-long learners.

Beyond helping students, faculty, staff and the libraries, membership in the Friends of the Libraries provides opportunities to learn, build skills and socialize with peers. As a Friends member, you will see that the library has more to offer than just books. In the past our workshops have taught participants how to preserve documents and photos, navigate online file storage options, learn to use mobile devices, and more.

With our upper levels of membership, you will enjoy perks such as an additional library card, discounted admission to our Annual Luncheon and workshops, and even remote access to online databases. Depending on your membership level, you may be eligible for a consultation with a subject librarian in a topic of interest to you.
