MLK in Dayton

Each year on the third Monday of January we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His strategy of nonviolent protest advanced civil rights in the United States and around the world. Dr. King visited Dayton several times during the turbulent 1960’s. He has a special connection to the Miami Valley as his wife, Coretta Scott King, was a graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs.
