On March 25, 1863, Kate P. (Catherine Phillips) Patterson died while attending school in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kate was 17 years old. She died two days after her father, Jefferson Patterson. Kate, born December 29, 1846, was the 8th of 12 children born to Jefferson and Juliana Patterson.
