Original caption from Dayton Journal Herald (Sept. 23, 1966): “A steady stream of visitors toured the King-Moorehead house yesterday afternoon as the old residence at the corner of Detroit and Church streets in Xenia was dedicated as part of the cultural complex operated by the Greene County Historical society. Looking over some old books found in the attic of the house are Dr. W. A. Hammond (left), president of the Greene County Historical society, and Dan Porter, director of the Ohio Historical society who delivered the dedication address at a dinner meeting in Xenia last night.” Photo by Fred Lawson, Journal Herald.
