Aug. 1964: Union Station has New Face. The new face of Dayton Union Station has made its appearance marking both the altered station and the new terminus of West Sixth Street. The old station’s tower was razed to permit extension of Sixth Street to connect with Wilkinson Street. The change was made to improve traffic flow in the southwest quadrant of the central business district. Journal Herald staff photo by Ron Manson.
