Kenneth Middaugh (originally from Preble County, Ohio) was a jazz musician who played piano and who was a part of Marion McKay’s orchestra, sometimes referred to as the Greystone Orchestra, in Dayton, and he was a part of a few other musical groups that borrowed the names of places they performed at. Middaugh took over management of the Trianon in Terre Haute, after he left Dayton and the Greystone Amusement Company. Kenneth performed in a variety of places such as Canton, Ohio, and Indian Lake. Middaugh also was employed at Wilbur Wright Field.
This scrapbook was created by Middaugh’s wife Mildred for his birthday in 1924. It highlights his activities as a jazz musician in the early 1920s (circa 1920-1924). The scrapbook includes pictures of the recording studio he used in Indiana, and Wilbur Wright Field and Country Club.
