Wright state University Common Text Contest
Open to all new Wright State University first year students starting in fall 2014.  Contest deadline is August 15, 2014.
How to enter:
  • Read The Fault in our Stars
  • Quote: Tell us your favorite quote from The Fault in our Stars
  • Life Lesson:  What life lesson do you take away from the book?
  • Character:  What character do you most identify wit?
  • Tweet:  What would you Tweet about the book?
  • Submit your entry to the common text contest form.
Twitter Chat – July 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Join your fellow Raiders and the common text committee as we discuss The Fault in our Stars via a Twitter chat.  Use #wrightstatetfios to follow the conversation on Tuesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m.
A Lion in the House – September 5 at 3 p.m. in M252 Creative Arts
Julia Reichert and steve Bognar’s acclaimed documentary.  Reception with film makers for families of first-year students at intermission.
WSU Alumni Writers Panel – September 25 at 12:30 p.m. in Pathfinder Lounge, Student Union
Their An Imperial Affliction: the book they were obsessed with when they were young.  The common text contest winners will also be announced at this event.
Panel:  Cancer in Popular Culture – October 13 at 7 p.m. in Pathfinder Lounge, Student Union
A cancer researcher, a cartoonist creator of a cancer storyline, a cancer survivor and a care provider will discuss cancer in popular culture.
“BIG READ”  – Wednesday, October 15 at 9 a.m. in 116 Allyn Hall
 A campus read-aloud of the common text in the Education Resource Center.  We’ll start at 9 a.m. and read until we finish (4 p.m.?).  Students, faculty and staff are invited to join us to read and/or listen.
