Subject Librarians

Subject librarians are committed to faculty and student success. Each Wright State University academic program has an assigned subject librarian whose work can support faculty research and instruction in many vital ways.

Research Toolkit

Learning to do academic research is one of the biggest challenges college students face. The library has created a series of workshops to help your students succeed where they often fail, with basic research strategies. Faculty report seeing better research and writing from students who have completed these workshops.

Document Delivery

The Interlibrary Loan department provides free electronic document delivery services for all WSU faculty (a service not available to staff or students). We can provide:

  • A URL to the requested article
  • PDF document or printed copy of an article
  • Delivery to your office through campus mail

Course Reserves

Course Reserves include books, AV, textbooks, class notes, sample solutions, personal copies; any physical item you wish your students to share.

  • Print reserves collection can be restricted by location (in-library only) or by time period
  • Two weeks are needed to process start-of-semester reserves; two days during the semester.

What We Offer Your Students

  • Students can get help from our friendly Librarians at the Information desk in the Dunbar Library; Librarians are also conveniently available by appointment (in person or virutally), phone, email, or via our chat service, Ask A Librarian.
  • Online research guides for every discipline can easily guide students to the most appropriate resources for their research.
  • The Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC) provides Wright State students with the tools to make productive use of multimedia.
  • Small, independent and group study rooms (complete with equipment and software found in campus classrooms) where students can have a space of their own to study or practice presentations are now available to reserve.
