Fairmont High School language laboratory, 1960 (Fairmont_02)

Original caption from October 1960: “Language laboratory just installed at Kettering Fairmont high school has a control board on the teacher’s desk that is so complicated that teacher Mary Belle Warren (left) uses student technician LeRoy Coulter to help with the mechanics. In the class room, students (right) are seated at 30 glass-enclosed booths, each equipped with earphones and microphones. Picture shows students reciting in unison. Teacher can hear them one at a time. (Staff photos by Ed Johnsey)”
